If you decide you are going to heal and you are finding what it takes to do that as time goes on do you waver about your personal power? to actually heal? do you want to heal? it is not for the weak of heart it is never smooth but sometimes it is. Distractions. Opinions. […]

night light

It’s about seeing the light? Sound familiar? Photography is all about capturing the light. It’s a few tricks to learn when night time photos are being taken. Understanding what the camera you have will do for you. My camera is a simulator camera which means my Nikon Coolpix B500 will do the work of shutter […]

life is a work out

I am finding out that to keep doing activities like horse back riding, swimming, hiking and travel, I need to be fit. This arena hubby set up for the horses is missing the multi-coloured swim noodles and orange pylons (traffic cones) that are stored away when not in use. He is preparing for obstacle course […]

when it glows that harvest

October is at its end, and in the northern hemisphere, that often means the days are flush with falling leaves, chilling weather, and growing anticipation for the holiday season. The tenth month by our Gregorian calendar, October shares a root with octopus and octagon—the Latin octo and Greek okto, meaning “eight.” October is a very […]

how do you know you are stressed?

Yesterday, I was getting ready to ride my horse, Grace. I worked with her on the ground getting her to move and trot and walk under my instruction and cues. After a few moments of lunging her, I got extremely dizzy and light headed . I had to stop and sat on a stool in […]

Owning horses is a gift

My foot is much improved and so I rode my horse this weekend. It is a thankful thanksgiving knowing I can get my foot back in the stirrup without pain. I was amazed really. These are pictures I took on my walk around our property. Horses are very interesting and honest animals. Expensive to keep […]

thanksgiving then and now

I lost a loved one 15 years ago. I realize that every time a memory appears that shows that I could have been a more thoughtful caring person at that time; Guess what shows up…. Guilt. If only I did this instead of that. Hindsight is 20/20 STOP. I created a boundary about memories of […]

Foot Report on my Nerve Neuroma

I am calling my Morton’s Neuroma a nerve neuroma because that is what it actually is. It is not affecting a muscle in your foot it is that the NERVE IS THICKENED and tight. The muscles need to be strong in my foot to conquer the nerve stress. I traveled to a writing workshop this […]

I am making a dream catcher and I will need these supplies. I love this ancient craft believed to have originated from the Ojibwa Chippewa tribe. Ojibwa word for dream catcher “asabikeshiinh” means “spider”. I made a couple of these with my son Graham when he was 10 yrs old. A lovely memory. I’ll post when it’s made #dreamcatcher #nativeamerican #catchingdreams #craftingsupplies #memorykeeping
a ride in the snow with Grace and Roman Humor (Norman) and my hubby of course. There was no wind and such soft snow; out in the pastures walking and trotting slowly around a couple of bales was “a good thing” for all 4 of us! nothing like ‘good honest horse energy’. #winterhorsebackriding #staymarriedandhorseride #kirkvillehorses #horse-energy
