kundalini yoga

Do you know what type of yoga Kundalini is?

Nope. I didn’t either until I attended a class through Zoom put on by my local yoga instructor last fall.

I finished the class and said to myself “nope, I miss the regular asanas and postures and using supports with my blocks and my belts. However, I have difficulty being flexible and holding the postures of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.

I then realized the absolute power of Kundalini and how I was able to do all the postures only because the postures are done in a certain order and repetitive and using the breath of fire while repeating the movements.

So I got out of my comfort zone and went to more classes.

The energy and euphoric feeling I get in the next days from a Kundalini hour class was something I knew was pretty exceptional for my body to practice. It is a little bit like an aerobics yoga.

Kundalini  is a form of yoga that involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses. Its purpose is to activate your Kundalini energy, or shakti. It is spiritual energy that’s located at the base of your spine.

What”s the difference between other yoga classes? So in a typical Kundalini practice, you will be moving through certain postures over certain periods of time in a set routine, whereas Vinyasa and Hatha-based yoga styles offer a little more room for creativity
