The Look

Horses have a certain look. The eyes are best to be looked at at the right or left side of their head, as horse eyes are really positioned on the side of their face. Humans’ eyes are straight on centre of our head. Horses aren’t great at full frontal viewing. I grabbed some photos that are a look horses share with most everyone.

This is the thoroughbred hubby owns now. This was when we were at the horse racing track in Winnipeg. The horse’s look is “can you get me out of here”?

Ears are important to take note of when you are with a horse. Here is some sketches of expressions to understand when you are around them.
