Horses on our acreage receive hay in the winter 3 times a day, and only in extreme cold and twice a day otherwise . Also some alfalfa pellets and oats as a snack midday.

Horses should be fed little food a few times a day.

I need to follow that program! Eat little bits throughout the day.

That is our horse feeding schedule. If we are gone for a few days then we put out a bale of hay and they self feed.

They are a gift to us year round!
