The Flash Speaks

I am looking at all the pages of my novel and I treat it as a friend. Writing this story has kept me grounded and kept my brain in full focus.This story has been my pandemic friend.

I have to make sure I respect the characters. I have to write about them carefully so I am frequently checking on them. I like my novel because it is who I am and how I think and how I write. It is now a building block for me to develop better writing skills. Having a printed copy, though, is like a true friend I can now work with. It is solid proof of my work.

Speaking of solid ground, a horse or two that I have ridden throughout the years has kept me honest and they do make sure I have two solid feet in the stirrup and a focus and plan in my head.
